Currently we are searching for an Embedded Systems Engineer (Corrosion SME) to fulfill an immediate full-time vacancy.

This position is a Full-Time, Direct Hire role that sits onsite daily in Munford, AL. Travel is required (~8 times per year) for domestic and international trade shows, customer visits, and potential collaboration with global facilities.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Act as the corrosion subject matter expert (SME) for the organization, providing technical leadership in place of the company’s late founder who previously held this knowledge.
- Conduct research and development related to corrosion and its impact on metals, finishes, robotics, and specialty machinery.
- Design and develop embedded systems for corrosion monitoring applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, sales, and design) to support certifications, registrations, and new product development.
- Represent the company at industry trade shows worldwide, engaging with customers using technical corrosion expertise.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, schematics, and spreadsheets to support product development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, or Electronics Engineering (strong preference for candidates from top engineering programs).
- Understanding of corrosion principles and how metals degrade — gained through internships, thesis work, metallurgy experience, or professional roles.
- Strong foundation in embedded systems design and engineering practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers and represent the company at industry events.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of engineering experience with a focus on corrosion or embedded systems.
- Prior exposure to corrosion monitoring technologies, coatings, or materials testing.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as part of the role.
