Rezult continues to make great strides toward enhancing the technology community nationwide. We are consistently looking for qualified professionals to join us in achieving success. Currently we are searching for a SQL Database Administrator to fulfill an immediate vacancy.
This individual will be responsible for:
- Utilizing MySQL methods for monitoring database capacity and usage.
- Leading efforts to develop and improve procedures for automated monitoring and proactive intervention, reducing any needed downtime.
- Setting database usage standards with developers.
- Managing schema updates and code-driven DB changes with developers.
- Participating in the creation of development, staging, and production database instances, and the migration from one environment to another.
- Recommending and implementing emerging database technologies.
- Creating and managing database reports, visualizations, and dashboards.
- Recommending optimizations to existing application queries.
- Providing oversight and manage MySQL Server, AWS cloud-native RDBMS and NoSQL DBs for new product lines.
We are actively speaking with applicants that have a minimum of:
- 3+ years of experience working with MySQL Server.
- 3+ years of experience as a database administrator designing and deploying databases on Cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Experience with AWS and Azure RDS offerings and support
- 3+ years of expert experience performing database performance analysis, system and statement SQL tuning.
- Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
- Ability to work in the US for a Government Contractor
- PowerShell and Unix shell scripting skills
- Experience with Linux or Windows Server environments
- Extensive experience with additional database technologies (MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB)
