Sr C++ Engineer

Currently we are searching for a Sr C++ Engineer to fulfill an immediate full-time vacancy. This position is a Full-Time, Direct Hire role that will sit HYBRID onsite in Birmingham, AL.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Design and build cross-platform software applications leveraging C++ and supporting technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI/ML models and sensor-driven data into scalable solutions.
- Contribute to the overall software architecture, providing technical leadership and code reviews.
- Maintain and improve reusable libraries, frameworks, and development tools across multiple projects.
- Develop solutions optimized for Linux, Windows, macOS, and embedded environments.
- Participate in continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices to ensure code quality and stability.
- Proficiency with C/C++, and working knowledge of JavaScript, Python, and build systems.
- Hands-on experience with multi-platform development (Linux, Windows, Android, macOS, or containerized environments).
- Familiarity with version control, unit testing, and automated build pipelines.
- Proven ability to architect and deliver high-performance software in production environments.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience developing and shipping C++ applications.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills within a collaborative engineering environment.
Preferred Experience:
- Knowledge of network or data communication protocols (e.g., REST, TCP/UDP, MQTT, or CAN).
- Enthusiasm for hardware integration, IoT, or embedded systems development.
