Currently we are searching for a Sr Embedded Software C++ Engineer to fulfill an immediate full-time vacancy.
This position is a Full-Time, Direct Hire position, not offering sponsorship, or C2C, that sits fully onsite in Birmingham, AL.
Day to Day:
· Design, develop, and maintain embedded software, ensuring integration with hardware components.
· Using C, C++, and assembly language to write efficient and reliable code for resource-constrained embedded systems.
· Implement real-time processing capabilities.
· Collaborate with hardware engineers for software and hardware compatibility, optimizing system performance and functionality.
· Interface with hardware peripherals such as sensors, actuators, displays, and communication modules, using industry-standard protocols.
· Being aware of safety-critical and security-critical aspects of embedded software.
· Debug and test embedded systems, resolving issues promptly.
· Develop software solutions able to run efficiently on multiple chip architectures, optimizing code for versatility.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
· 7 years of experience in manufacturing or electronics related industry.
· 5 years of experience in C++ programming
· Strong knowledge on embedded systems, real-time operating systems, and hardware-software integration.
· Familiarity with hardware communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, or CAN.
· Experience with debugging tools and techniques for embedded systems.
· Knowledge of safety and security principles in embedded software development.
