·      Contract Duration / Start Date: 13 weeks - 03/02/2025
·      Shift: Days – M-F 8 am – 4:30 (40 hours) NO ON CALL
·      Weekly Pay: $2366 total weekly gross

Job Responsibilities:
·      Join our robust Mammography department, performing 15-20 exams per tech per day across four mammography rooms and a mobile unit
·      Maintain a professional demeanor and deliver exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and colleagues, aligning with Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
·      Verify patient identity using two identifiers (identification band and verbal confirmation), ensuring accuracy with the requisition and medical chart.
·      Confirm the correct procedure by cross-referencing the chart or prescription, seeking order clarification when needed, and properly documenting any changes.
·      Adhere to McLeod Health’s Confidentiality Policy in handling patient information and procedures.
·      Complete annual training and demonstrate age-specific care to meet the needs of the patient population served.
·      Assist patients with appropriate attire for the procedure, provide a clear explanation of the process, duration, and expected outcomes, and ensure their comfort.
·      Show genuine concern for patient well-being, emphasizing that they are our top priority and working to reduce anxiety throughout the exam.
·      Select and apply appropriate technical settings based on body habitus, pathology, and anatomy while ensuring proper patient positioning.
·      Verify that all images are successfully transferred to PACS and meet quality standards before submitting them for radiologist interpretation.
·      Maintain a thorough knowledge of imaging equipment as outlined in the Competency Skills Checklist.
·      Stay attentive to both the equipment and patient during procedures to ensure safe and effective imaging.
·      Demonstrate efficient time management and productivity, completing procedures within appropriate time frames based on complexity and patient condition.
·      Maintain all required documentation and compliance records as per MQSA standards and McLeod Health policies, specific to mammography technologists.
·      Upon completion of initial orientation and training, perform all mammography exams, including: Screening and diagnostic mammograms, Stereotactic biopsies, Bone Density (DXA) exams, and all procedures in accordance with hospital protocols and policies, without assistance.

·      Must be ARRT / Mammography (RTR-M) and BLS certified.
·      Must have at least 1 – 2 years of experience as a Mammography Tech.
